Ch 18,

Row 1: 2 sc in second ch from hook, *sc in next ch, 2 sc in next ch, repeat from * to end of row. Turn.

Row 2: Ch 2, 2 dc in first st, dc in each st up to last st, 2 dc in last st. Turn.

Row 3: Ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc in next st, *ch 2, sc in next 2 sts, repeat from * to end of row, work another sc in last st. Turn.

Row 4: Ch 2, 2 dc in first st, dc in next 2 sts, *ch 2, sk ch-2 lp, dc in next 2 sts, repeat from * to last st, 2 dc in last st. Turn.

Row 5: Ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc in next 3 sts, *ch 2, sk ch-2 lp, sc in next 2 sts, repeat from * to last 2 sts, sc in next st, 2 sc in last st. Turn.

Row 6: Ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc in next 4 sts, *working from behind the ch-2 lps of last 2 rows, work 2 tr sts into ch-2 lp of row 3 (or third row down), sc in next 2 sts, repeat from * to last 3 sts, sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in last st. Turn.

Row 7: Ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc in each st up to the last st, 2 sc in last st. Turn.

Repeat rows 2 to 7 once more.

Next Row: Repeat row 7, do not turn. Continue with String.

Strings & Edging:

Ch 20, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch to end. (Do not turn). Working along the edge, sc evenly across to next corner. Ch 20, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch to end, join with sl st. Fasten off.
