This lacy round baby blanket is made with a super bulky yarn, which helps to speed up the crocheting process. Depending on how fast you crochet, the baby blanket can be crocheted up in less than a day. Great for those last minute gifts.

The blanket is slightly textured in the solid areas, and has a nice ruffled edge.

Gauge: 3.25" over the first 2 rounds.
Finished Measurement: 34" in diameter.

Crochet Abbreviations

Bl = Back Loops
Ch = Chain
Dc = Double Crochet
Hdc = Half Double Crochet
Lp/Lps = Loops/Loops
Rnd/Rnds = Round/Rounds
Sc = Single Crochet
Sk = Skip
Sl St = Slip Stitch
St/Sts = Stitch/Stitches

Ch 4. Join with sl st to form circle.

Rnd 1: Ch 1, work 3 sc into each ch. Join with sl st. (12 sts)

Rnd 2: Ch 1, working in bl only, work 2 sc into each st. Join with sl st. (24 sts)

Rnd 3: Ch 1, working in both lps, (sc, ch 2) in first st, sk next st, *(sc, ch 2) in next st, sk next st, repeat from * around. Join with sl st. (12 ch-2 lps)

Rnd 4: Sl st into lp, ch 1, (sc, ch 3) in same lp and in each lp around. Join with sl st.

Rnd 5: Ch 1, work 3 hdc in first st, sc in next lp, *3 hdc in next st, sc in next lp, repeat from * around. Join with sl st. (48 sts)

Rnd 6: Ch 1, working in bl only, sc in first 3 sts, 2 sc in next st, *sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st, repeat from * around. Join with sl st. (60 sts)

Rnd 7: Ch 1, working in bl only, sc in first 5 sts, *2 sc in next st, sc in next 5 sts, repeat from * around to last st, sc in last st. Join with sl st. (69 sts) (Note: 69 sts might seem like a mistake, but it is the correct amount.)

Rnd 8: Ch 1, working in both lps, (sc, ch 3) in first st, sk next 2 sts, *(sc, ch 3) in next st, sk next 2 sts, repeat from * around. Join with sl st. (23 ch-3 lps)

Rnd 9: Repeat rnd 4.

Rnd 10: Sl st into lp, ch 1, (sc, ch 4) in same lp and in each lp around. Join with sl st.

Rnd 11: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), work another 2 dc in first st, sc in next lp, *3 dc in next st, sc in next lp, repeat from * around. Join with sl st. (92 sts)

Rnd 12: Repeat rnd 6. (115 sts)

Rnd 13: Ch 1, working in bl only, sc in first 22 sts, 2 sc in next st, *sc in next 22 sts, 2 sc in next st, repeat from * around. Join with sl st. (120 sts)

Rnd 14: Same as rnd 8. (40 lps)

Rnds 15-16: Same as rnd 4.

Rnds 17-18: Repeat rnds 10 & 11. (160 sts)

Rnd 19: Ch 1, working in bl only, sc in first 19 sts, 2 sc in next st, *sc in next 19 sts, 2 sc in next st, repeat from * around. Join with sl st. (168 sts)

Rnd 20: Ch 1, working in bl only, sc in first st and in each st around. Join with sl st.

Rnd 21: Same as rnd 8. (56 lps)

Rnds 22-23: Same as rnd 4.

Rnds 24-25: Same as rnd 10.

Rnd 26: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), work another 3 dc in same st, sc in next lp, *4 dc in next st, sc in next lp, repeat from * around. Join with sl st.
